On this Tuesday, 7th December, three big matches were played, and the final game was between VK Dukla LIBEREC vs Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA.

Today's match of Champions League women was first in history of Liberec, and the whole team showed excitement. Although they were defeated 3-0, the Czechs proved to have great potential to grow and fight in the competitive Pool C.

The match was played on VK Dukla LIBEREC's home court.

The initial question was if they could overcome the power of Igor Gorgonzola Novara, a veteran of the CEV Champions League. The guest already played in five editions of the competition before this last one, won the 2019 edition of the CEV Volleyball Champions League, and succeeded in the previous match against THY Instanbul by throwing the youngest players on the team field.

Igor Gorgonzola Novara showed what decorates the team in the Italian league, even without an injured Haleigh Washington.
The guests opened the match fully confident in scoring 51% of winning spikes and dominating in all components; 6 points and nine attacks by Herbots, 5 points, and two blocks by Bonifacio. On their side, they also had the Olympic champion Rosamaria, who showed her potential on the attack from the first set. Also, Rosamaria was well assisted by Battistoni, who continued to juggle other players at best and served good balls.

VK Dukla LIBEREC showed to be a team earning quality and patience, playing a linear game, but lacking explosiveness, and in the first set, they couldn't overcome Novara's attacks.

Starting with a confident play, Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA took over 2-0.
