Big Wins in the First Leg of the CEV Champions League Volley Men Round 1

The best volleyball club competition in the world, the CEV Champions League Volley has returned this week with the first matches of Round 1 of the men's competition and what a start to the season!
Home court advantage didn't seem to matter much in these opening matches, with only 2 out of the 8 hosts managing to win their matches. Guagas las Palmas from Spain, a team that impressed during the previous season, and Selver x Taltech from Estonia got important wins against Benfica and Orion Stars respectively and will be hoping to consolidate when they travel away from home for the return leg.
Apart from the two matches mentioned above, it was all about the visitors in the remaining 6 fixtures. Corona Brasov (ROU), Olympiacos Piraeus (GRE), Hypo Tirol (AUT) and Crvena Zvezda (SRB) won in straight sets while Volley Schonenwerd (SUI) and Mladost Zagreb (CRO) claimed their wins in 4 sets, all of these teams will be feeling good about their chances to qualify for the Round 2.
