Final Day of the Pool Phase Marks New Milestones for Champions League Clubs

Last evening brought the conclusion of the Pool Phase in the world's biggest club competition, the CEV Champions League Volley Women, and with it several noteworthy milestones reached by the participating clubs. Before diving deeper, take a look at how the Road to the Final 2025 is shaping up right HERE.

A Carraro Imoco Conegliano I The reigning champions have now made it 37 consecutive pool phase matches won in a row. They remain on track to potentially become the first Italian team to win back to back titles since Volley Bergamo in 2008/09 and 2009/10, at the same joining VakifBank ISTANBUL (6) and Volley BERGAMO (4) as teams to win the CEV Champions League more than twice.

Developres RZESZÓW I The Polish side has now made it passed the pool phase for the 4th consecutive time, setting up an electric Playoff matchup against Allianz MTV Stuttgart.

Maritza Plovdiv I Bulgaria's representative in the Champions League has made history by continuing their European journey passed the pool phase for the first time, heading now into the CEV Cup quarterfinals for a battle against Igor Gorgonzola Novara from Italy.

SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN I The Germans have made it out of the pool phase for the first time since 2012/13 and will be hoping to make it into the quarterfinals for the first time ever.

Tent Obrenovac I  With a very impressive first participation in the competition, becoming the first Serbian team to have made it out of the pool phase since Postar 064 BEOGRAD in 2008/09. If they make it into the quarterfinals, it will be the first time in over 20 years that a Serbian team goes that far.

Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL I The team remains on track and hopeful they can celebrate the ten years anniversary since winning the Champions League with a second title for the club, as they make it out of the pool phase for the 18th time, second best record in the competition, behind fellow Turkish side, VakifBank Istanbul.

FC Porto I  The Portuguese side has made their first ever Champions League participation count by getting one of the four spots ensuring qualification into the CEV Cup quarterfinals. The team from Portugal will now face CS Volei Alba Blaj from Romania, Champions League Finalist in 2018.

PGE Grot Budowlani ŁÓDŹ I Despite having participated in the Champions League five times prior to this season, the Polish can now celebrate going through in the competition for the first time. The winner of the playoff between Tent Obrenovac and PGE will mark another historic moment for either team if they get qualification into the quarterfinals.

Vasas Obuda Budapest I  Yet another team to celebrate moving forward into the European season beyond the pool phase of the Champions League, getting a spot in the CEV Cup quarterfinals where they will be facing MOYA Radomka RADOM from Poland.
