However, the overall result of the two matches was not in favor of the Italian club, as the title goes to the Polish team, which had won the first leg 3-1.

Lube started strong, claiming the first two sets thanks to dominant blocking and powerful attacks from Bottolo (20 points) and Nikolov (24 points). However, the turning point came in the third set: the Italians failed to convert five match points, while Leon (25 points, 8 aces) led Lublin to a dramatic 38-36 victory.

In the fourth set, the Polish team took control, with Leon’s devastating serves (three aces) proving decisive. Struggles in Lube’s reception allowed Lublin to level the match, sealing their Challenge Cup triumph—despite Lube’s 3-2 victory in the return leg, the trophy was decided by the aggregate score.

The fifth set was merely a formality, with both coaches giving playing time to their bench players. Lube dominated (15-7), but the celebration belonged to Bogdanka LUK Lublin, the new Challenge Cup champions.
