CEV Champions League Volley 2025 | Men
The Polish powerhouse of Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie started on a very good note in the #CLVolleyM quarters, winning 3-0 over SVG Lüneburg (GER), while Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia emerged victorious at 3-1 over compatriots Mint Vero Volley Monza.
Aluron turned out to be too strong for the nice surprise of this year’s CEV Champions League Volley - Men, the team of SVG LÜNEBURG (GER). The Polish side won without any problems their match against SVG LÜNEBURG (GER).
Aluron, who are making their second appearance in Europe’s top club competition, continue with their excellent performance so far and after winning six matches out of six, the players of head coach Michal Winiarski outclassed their opponents in three sets in the first quarter-final between the two teams. The rematch is scheduled to take place next Tuesday in Poland.

Aluron stormed in the beginning of the first set (5-1), and kept dominating (14-9), opening the match with no problems for 25-15.
Despite Lüneburgs’ attempts to improve their game in the second set, nothing much changed, as the Poles controlled what was happening on the court (12-9). The German pushed hard as the set was unfolding (17-18), but the experienced players of Aluron reacted immediately for 25-21.
The domination of the Polish continued in the third set as well, as they made an even bigger point difference for 25-14.
Aluron finished as the better team on all Volleyball elements: 35 to 26 winning spikes, eight to three kill blocks, and 10 to three aces.
Karol Butryn deservedly grabbed the MVP award, topping the charts with 15 points.
Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia did their job right in the first quarter-final game against compatriots Mint Vero Volley MONZA, winning at 3-1 on Tuesday. The players of head coach Angelo Lorenzetti prevailed in the all-Italian derby of the day in #CLVolleyM and need only two sets to progress to the next stage of Europe’s top club competition. Perugia have never been eliminated in the quarters of the CEV Champions League Volley - Men, and are already one step closer to reaching the Final Four.

The two Italian sides locked horns in Opiquad Arena in Monza in front of more than 3000 fans of the game.
It was a close call in the opener, but after the 15th point, the home heroes took control and opened in their favour for 25-19.
Perugia responded quickly, leading comfortably in the second set (13-9), equalising the sets after 25-16.
Inspired by their good performance, the players of Lorenzetti emerged victorious in the third set as well (25-17), and sealed the deal in the fourth one after a game of nerves for 27-25.
The attention to detail was the key factor to the win for the team of Perugia - they finished with more attacks 53 to 49 and more kill blocks (14 to nine). The two sides recorded three aces each.
Kamil Semeniuk grabbed the MVP award, finishing with 17 points to his name.
