The return leg of Round 1, which took place this week, revealed the eight teams still in the race for the two spots in the Group Phase of the CEV Champions League Volley 2025 Men, with two of the eight matches requiring a Golden Set to decide the winner of the matchups.

For a lot of the winners from the first leg, this week's matches was a test to see if they could confirm their outstanding performances from just a week before and for the most part they did just that.

The outliers here were the matches taking place in the Netherlands between Orion Stars Doetinghem (NED) and Selver x Taltech TALLINN (EST), and in Portugal, between Sport Lisboa e Benfica (POR) and Guagas Las Palmas (ESP).

In the First Leg, both Las Palmas and Tal Tech made use of the home court advantage, winning their matches by a margin that would give them confidence for the return leg. However, their opponents were never going to back down from a proper on court volleyball battle, winning the return leg with a sufficient score to push the matchups into the Golden Set. Thus, Deotinghem managed to push the comeback all the way (in the Golden set), claiming their spot in Round 2, while Guagas Las Palmas managed to take control of the match when it mattered and continue their attempt to once again play in the group phase of the CEV Champions League Volley.

The eight remaining teams in the competition now have to regroup quickly as they need to get back on the court next week for the First Leg of the Round 2.

All matches will be streamed live on EuroVolley.TV, the schedule will be available HERE once the timings will be confirmed.
