The third round of the CEV ZEREN Group Champions League Volley Women will start on Tuesday, with eight teams aiming to seal a place in the 4th round of the competition, making it into the five pools.

For that, four doubleheaders are already scheduled, with the winning teams progressing, and some names used to the competition are already preparing to tip off the competition and secure the much-needed wins to progress.

Since the 2017/18 season, Bulgarian side Maritza Plovdiv has been a constant presence in the pool phase of the European premium competition and they will now aim to secure another berth, when they face Croatian side OK Dinamo Zagreb.

Maritza entered the third round, as well as Dinamo, which had a bye in the second round, with the Bulgarian side hoping to use their experience to progress to the next phase.

Vasas Óbuda Budapest will also aim to participate for the fourth season in a row in the 4th round, but they will have their work cut out, as they meet another hopeful, Olympiacos Piraeus.

In the previous round, Olympiacos produced two quality wins against Asterix Avo Beveren, 3:0 and 3:0, with Vasas Óbuda Budapest entering the competition in this phase, after playing in the previous three seasons.

French side Volero Le Cannet will aim to return after a one-year hiatus to the fourth round of the CEV ZEREN Group Champions League Volley Women, as they meet Janta Volej Kisela Voda from North Macedonia.

Kisela Voda took two 3:2 wins against Bosnian side ŽOK Gacko RD Swisslion in the previous round, and will be the outsiders, at least on paper.

After eliminating Las Palmas with a golden set win, 15:10, Sport Lisboa e Benfica will now measure forces with OTP Banka Branik Maribor, the Slovenian team which won the title for the first time in six years.
