Home advantage powers two sides into the next round

It was a night of great performances across Europe as ACH Volley Ljubljana and Guaguas Las Palmas both secured their spots in the next round of the CEV Champions League Volley 2026 Men, exciting their home fans with décisives wins.
Having already secured a win in the first leg, the Slovenian champions entered the return fixture with momentum. From the first serve, they set the tone, solid in defence, attack, and quick to punish any errors from the visitors. Orion Stars fought back at times, but they couldn’t keep up with Ljubljana’s sharp precision. Through solid teamwork, the home team wrapped up the match in straight sets to move forward.

Meanwhile, in Gran Canaria, Guaguas Las Palmas thrilled the home crowd with a dominant display against MÁV Foxconn Székesfehérvár. Determined to build on their first-leg success, the Spanish side started fast, their attack flowing through every rotation with precision. The visitors struggled to contain the momentum as Guaguas’ energy grew stronger with each set.
Leading the charge was veteran star Osmany Juantorena Portuondo, who claimed the MVP of the Match after scoring 11 points and 1 ace. His experience proved crucial as Guaguas closed the match in straight sets, booking their place in the next round of the men's CEV Champions League Volley 2026.
