CEV ZEREN group fantasy team of the week from leg 5

Leg 5 of the CEV ZEREN Group Champions League Volley 2026 brought drama once again, with momentum swings, comebacks, and performances that shaped the round. As the competition tightened, these players translated their impact on court into valuable fantasy points.

A dramatic comeback in Milan was led by a familiar force. Paola Egonu once again showed why she remains one of the most reliable fantasy picks in the competition. The opposite hitter produced 32 points from 32 attacks, finishing with a 65 percent spike success rate as Numia Vero Volley Milano overturned Olympiacos Piraeus. Every time Milano needed a response, she delivered, earning the MVP award.

Linda Nwakalor made her presence felt at the net for Savino Del Bene Scandicci, putting in a strong defensive performance that shaped the outcome of the match. She finished with 10 points, including eight kill blocks, and maintained a 67 percent success rate in attack.

Out on the wing, Hande Baladın took on a big role for Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul and delivered when it mattered. She recorded 17 points, added an ace and two kill blocks, and was outstanding in reception with a 92 percent positive rate.

Control at the net proved just as important elsewhere. In Levallois Paris Saint Cloud’s performance, Nika Milošič imposed herself in the middle with 20 points, adding an ace and five kill blocks. Her presence disrupted the attacking rhythm and gave her team control during key phases of the match.

At the back for Conegliano, Monica De Gennaro once again showed why she is so important to her team. She finished the match with a 93 percent positive reception rate in the win over Ankara Zeren, providing calm and control in difficult moments. 

In Rzeszów’s away victory, much of the control came from the setter’s hands. Katarzyna Wenerska added four points, including two aces and two kill blocks, while calmly managing the tempo of the game. Her decision-making helped keep the attack efficient against a tough Maritza Plovdiv side.

The week was rounded off by a comeback driven by belief and persistence. Magdalena Bukovska led Levallois Paris Saint Cloud with 26 points, along with an ace and three kill blocks, as they overturned SSC Palmberg Schwerin. Her scoring kept her team in the match during the most difficult phases and proved decisive when the momentum finally shifted.

As Leg 5 concluded, the fantasy leaderboard began to take clearer shape, reflecting the players who turned their performances into valuable fantasy returns. Paola Egonu led the standings with 92 fantasy points following another commanding display for Numia Vero Volley Milano. She was closely followed by Isabelle Haak on 88 points, underlining her consistency and influence for Conegliano.

Behind them, Tatiana Tolok collected 84 points after a strong outing, while Hande Baladın finished with 80 points for Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul. Completing the top five was Magdalena Bukovska, who also recorded 80 points, capping an important week for Levallois Paris Saint Cloud.
