Torino will further cement its status as ‘Volleyball Mecca’ in only a few weeks when the world’s top teams and players convene at the iconic Inalpi Arena for the Final Four of the CEV Champions League Volley 2026. The anticipation is mounting, as clearly stated by high-ranking officials and local authorities during a press conference held on Friday at the Circolo dei Lettori – Palazzo Graneri della Roccia in the Piedmontese capital.

In the wonderful Circolo dei Lettori in Torino officials and local authorities agreed on the status of the Piedmontese capital as a real 'Volleyball Mecca'

“I am extremely pleased to be here,” said CEV President Roko Sikirić. “I would like to thank the Region of Piedmont and the City of Torino. This iconic city has been organising major sporting events for quite some time and I am proud that this year’s Final Four of the men’s CEV Champions League will be contested here. Later this year, Torino will host some stages of the CEV EuroVolley 2026 Men as well and that will be another real showcase of Volleyball at its best. The Final Four scheduled for May 16-17 will provide us with an opportunity to witness and follow the actions of the world’s top players. I invite you all to come to Torino to be a part of the ultimate Volleyball showdown,” he said addressing the audience in fluent Italian.

Torino has become synonymous with elite sports and other major events as emphasised by the local officials. “The Piedmont authorities are focussing their attention on the organisation of major sporting events as an opportunity to promote our region. The list is almost endless as it includes Volleyball, basketball, tennis, and much more. We could not miss out on the opportunity of adding the Champions League Final Four to our growing portfolio. There are many high-level Volleyball clubs based in the Piedmont Region and a large, growing number of youngsters playing Volleyball from where we can expect the future stars of the sport will emerge. I would like to thank the CEV and the Italian Volleyball Federation for their trust in us; I am confident that this event will be crowned with success,” said the Regional Councillor for Tourism and Sport, Paolo Bongioanni.

The CEV President emphasised how pleased he is that the event will take place in Torino in mid-May

“We are obviously proud to be able to host the Final Four – back in 2023, Torino did deliver the Super Finals and I see that our love story and connection with elite Volleyball continues. I recall the many major Volleyball events organised in Torino for the past few years and I also look forward to this coming September when EuroVolley matches will be played here as well, as our city is due to host the 8th and quarterfinals of the European Championship. Torino is attracting more and more such events – and this is due to our organisational skills, the availability of high-level and quality infrastructure and the cooperation developed among institutions and federations. I am confident that Torino will be again up to the task of delivering such a major event,” added the City Councillor for Sport, Domenico Carretta

“We thank the local authorities for their long-term vision and planning. This city has invested massively in sports infrastructure, which allows the delivery of such major events,” commented the President of the Italian Volleyball Federation, Giuseppe Manfredi.  “This Final Four is highly important for us to continue to promote our sport – expanding our offer for all fans, clubs, and families. The results of our national teams have produced an impressive growth in the number of licensed players across the country and this allows the local clubs to consequently devise plans for their own activities. We obviously want to make sure that such events remain sustainable – financially and environmentally as well. We would like to thank our colleagues and partners from Piedmont for all their work towards the successful delivery of this Final Four.”
