News
Tick-tock! There are only a few hours left until the lines are closed and the game begins! For the second season in a row, both die-hard and casual volleyball fans can watch the matches in the CEV Champions League Women with even more attention, as the CEV Zeren Group Champions League Fantasy throws off.
The immersive experience for CEV gives fans the opportunity to become the coach of their own team across the men’s and women’s European premium competitions. Fans can pick a team of twelve players with specific assigned positions inside a dedicated team budget of 100 million euros.
And it gets even better! You can select a captain, which will bring the double number of points to your squad. And you can even challenge your friends to see who’s got the better knowledge and who had the better picks throughout the whole competition.
Haven’t you already signed in and chose your team? Don’t worry, we got you covered.
So, the rules are quite simple and can be found here. To start, you must select a squad of 12 players with an initial budget of 100 million fantasy euros. The initial squad selection must consist of: three outside hitters, three middle blockers, two setters, two liberos and two opposites. You must select 7 players from your squad of 12 players to form your starting roster for each game week.
Of course, the risk of having a player not featuring on the court is high, therefore the replacements will get in your squad if that is the case. But for our first draft in the CEV Zeren Group Champions League Women Fantasy, we went on the high road and took a risk, investing the core of our budget in the starting seven for this opening round.
KEY STARS
Gabriela Guimaraes (€14m): The Brazilian superstar will be up and running from the start of the season, as the reigning champions, Conegliano, will be facing a tough pool, having to face Zeren Spor Klubu Ankara from the first match of the season. Therefore, the Italian powerhouse will certainly rely on Gabi, who is a mainstay in the star-studded team and can score crucial points.
Paola Egonu (€15m): A huge chunk of the budget will be invested in Egonu, who has had a fantastic 2025 for Milano, as well as for Italy. Selecting her looks like a no-brainer, as she will definitely be once again one of the top scorers of the competition.
Arina Fedorovtseva (€13m): Back at Fenerbahce, Fedorovtseva has always proven to be one of the top players in the competition, raking up big points, therefore she makes the cut. The Turkish side is always a team to watch for in this early stages and she will probably be once again one of the top scorers in the competition.
KEY DIFFERENTIAL
Zehra Güneş (€11m): We went for Güneş, because as middle blockers go, she is always one to look out for. VakifBank are aiming to bounce back, therefore selecting the Turkish powerhouse will always bring more points to the team, adding more firepower to the team.
