The fantasy performances that shaped Leg 4

A few of the matches really came down to who could hang in there longer. Points dragged on, leads didn’t last, and momentum kept shifting. In those moments, it wasn’t about playing the nicest volleyball. It was about staying in the fight and doing the work until the final point.
These performances defined this week’s Fantasy Team.

When the pressure peaked, and the match drifted into a long, unforgiving fifth set against Tours VB, Théo Faure took control. Shot after shot, serve after serve, he kept Trentino Itas alive. By the end of the night, Faure had amassed 40 points, driven by 35 attacks and 5 aces, carrying Trentino through a dramatic deuce battle that finally closed 28–26 in the fifth set. It was a performance built for fantasy folklore and rightly rewarded with match MVP honours.

Faure wasn’t alone in that comeback. On the wings, Jordi Ramon Ferragut provided balance when rallies grew longer, and receptions became harder to manage. His 23 points, including 20 attacks, 1 ace, and 2 kill blocks, were matched by his willingness to absorb pressure in reception, posting a 29% positive reception rate.

Even in defeat, Tours left Leg 4 with fantasy standouts. While the scoreboard ultimately favoured Trentino, Tours’ early control was built from the backcourt. Luca Ramon was central to that dominance, recording a 59% positive reception rate and giving Tours the platform to dictate the opening phases. His contribution remained visible throughout the match, earning him a deserved place among the week’s elite performers.

Running the offence for Tours was Željko Čorić, who showed he could influence the game beyond setting. He closed the match with 5 points, including 3 kill blocks and an ace, and stayed composed even as the match slipped away.

Team of the week

Away from Trento, strength in the middle shaped other results. For Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia, Agustín Loser delivered a tidy and effective performance against Guaguas Las Palmas. His 12 points, built on 5 kill blocks and 7 attacks, came at the right moments and helped Perugia keep control of the match.

A similar story unfolded in Germany, where Jackson Howe was reliable from start to finish for SVG Lüneburg. He also finished with 12 points, added 4 kill blocks, and converted chances with a 73% positive spike rate, making the most of every opportunity he got.

Then there was another comeback, this time led by a familiar name. When Bogdanka LUK Lublin needed someone to step up against Knack Roeselare, Wilfredo Leon Venero did what he often does. He scored 26 points, mixing 22 attacks with 2 aces and 2 kill blocks, and slowly pulled the match back in Lublin’s favour.

As Leg 4 unfolded, the fantasy leaderboard began to separate, highlighting the players who converted their performances into valuable fantasy returns. Théo Faure led the standings with 119 fantasy points, following another influential display for Trentino Itas. He was followed by Wilfredo León, who collected 83 points, continuing his strong run of form for Bogdanka LUK Lublin.

Behind them, Nik Mujanović finished with 80 points, while Jean Patry added 79 points after another productive outing. Completing the top five was Basil Dermaux, whose 77-point return capped a solid fantasy week.
