Recap
This evening, November 4, matches were played in the early rounds of both the men’s and women’s Champions League.
Janta Volej KISELA VODA (MKD) vs Volero LE CANNET (FRA)
1 - 3 (15-25, 10-25, 25-20, 9-25)
Le Cannet claimed a 3–1 victory on Tuesday in Skopje in the first leg of the two-round qualification for the ZEREN Group Champions League Volley Women group stage, taking a major step forward ahead of the return match on Thursday, November 13.
Le Cannet has almost secured its place in the group stage. Chasing a spot in Group A of the tournament, the French team defeated North Macedonia’s Janta Volej by 25–15, 25–10, 20–25, 25–9.
In Skopje, Volero Le Cannet quickly took control in the first two sets, eased off in the third, but regrouped and impressively dominated the fourth. The team delivered 13 aces, four of them by Lithuanian middle blocker Ruta Staniulyte (8 points). Another middle blocker, 17-year-old Belarusian Aida Dautova, recorded an impressive 12/14 in attack (14 points).
If Le Cannet successfully completes qualification next week, they will join Group A. To advance, Le Cannet will only need a win — or even a narrow loss in a tiebreak — in the second leg.
Dinamo BUCURESTI (ROU) vs ACH Volley LJUBLJANA (SLO)
3 - 1 (21–25, 25–18, 25–22, 25–20)

Dinamo Bucharest made its Champions League debut in the first round, eliminating North Macedonia’s VC Strumica with two straight 3–0 wins.
The return match with ACH Volley Ljubljana will be played on November 13 away from home. The winner on aggregate will advance to the next round, where they will compete for one of the two available spots in the group stage.
The winner of the Dinamo – ACH Volley tie will meet the winner of TSV Hartberg – Radnicki Kragujevac in the third round.
The team that progresses from the third qualifying round will join Group A.
