The absolute superstar of the match was Melissa Vargas, with the Cuba-born opposite of Fenerbahce scoring 26 points.

Fenerbahce Opet will now travel to France to complete their duties in Pool B of the CEV Champions League Volley playing hosts VB NANTES, A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO of Italy and Calcit Volley KAMNIK of Slovenia in an effort to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. As for Galatasaray, after a number of withdrawals from other teams, they are now due to play DRESDNER SC of Germany in the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup.
