MVP, Naz Aydemir Akyol of Fenerbahce Istanbul made comment after the game by expressing her happiness over the victory. "We were focused on beating Nantes, so I am very happy about this victory and also to be back playing in the Champions League, especially after we couldn't finish it last year. I started when I was 15 and it's always a great feeling for me to be back on this court and play against the best players, together with the best players"

Carli Anne Snyder of VB Nantes, on the other hand talked about gaining experience by learning from their mistakes.

"It was a great experience playing against one of the top teams and seeing that we can put into action against them what we've been working on all year. We have a lot to work on, but I think we should be really proud of ourself for competing with this team and take what we can learn from this match"
