"I am happy for the team, because we are coming from a bad loss in the Turkish league that gave us a lot of question marks. We are not used to losing, so it was very important to win today. LKS played a very good match. I am very happy for the first set, when they played excellent and we struggled a lot, but managed to recover from 17-23. I am also happy for the third set, which we finished the way we did, with a tight result. I congratulate my players for the power they came up with."

    Giovanni Guidetti
    head coach of VakifBank Istanbul

"I can say that we tried our best and in some parts of the game we did it. VakifBank is a very very good team. In the first set, we were leading 23-17, but they stopped making mistakes and it was really difficult to score the last two points. It's a pity, because it would have given us great satisfaction. Now we have to focus on our realistic goals, which are the next two games tomorrow and the day after."

    Giuseppe Cuccarini
head coach of LKS Commercecon Lodz
