SWD powervolleys DÜREN
- In the CEV Champions League Volley, SWD powervolleys Düren want to keep their chance of reaching the play-offs. If the goal is to remain possible, then a win against ACH Volley Ljubljana is mandatory. The match is already the last home game of the group stage for Düren. After that, the team of coach Rafał Murczkiewicz has to play away against Ankara and Perugia in January.
- Just how difficult the task will be became clear in the first leg, when Düren lost 1:3 away in Ljubljana. Then, as now, the SWD powervolleys were plagued by injuries. It is already clear that Murczkiewicz will send Tobias Brand and Marcin Ernastowicz onto the court as outside hitters - if everything goes well and both stay healthy. Other outside hitters are not available because Erik Röhrs and Björn Andrae are out injured.
- The important victory over WWK Volleys Herrsching on Sunday in the Bundesliga was a first step. And it was the first match in a long time in which injuries were not compounded by illnesses.
ACH Volley Ljubljana
- ACH Volley Ljubljana is still undefeated in the home championship - they have 11 wins in a row.
- After two years, ACH Volley Ljubljana is returning to Germany to play in the Champions League. In the 2020/2021 season they played against Berlin Recycling Volleys.
- Both ACH Volley Ljubljana and SWD powervolleys DÜREN have 1 win and 2 losses in the Champions League after 3 rounds played.
Rafał Murczkiewicz"We want to keep living our dream, The dream is to reach the playoffs in the Champions League. For that, a win against Ljubljana is needed. It's still in our own hands and we're doing everything we can to stay in this great competition."
Head Coach SWD powervolleys DÜREN
Radovan Gačič"We have a very important match against Duren, against whom we were successful in the first match in Ljubljana. To do it again, we will have to play our best game and put pressure with our opening shots. I believe we are capable of doing that."
Head Coach ACH Volley LJUBLJANA
Jani Kovačič:"The atmosphere in the team ahead of tomorrow's game is excellent. We are aware of the importance of this match, which will have a key impact on our European journey. We need to play with focus throughout the whole match and not allow ourselves to drop off the pace."

SWD powervolleys DÜREN v ACH Volley LJUBLJANA
Head coach Rafal Murczkiewicz drew a mixed conclusion: "The team showed some very good elements, but many chances were missed.
Captain Michael Andrei agrees: "There was more in it, especi"ally in the phases in which we pushed and played aggressively we could push the opponent back. Unfortunately, we did not manage to do that over 3 sets. In sets one, two and four we slept through the start, unfortunately this has been the case throughout the season, that we are not focused enough and lose the points too quickly."
Ljubljana's head coach Radovan Gacic was of course positive after the match: "We came to win and do everything to still have a realistic chance to win the Champions League or the CEV Cup. It's a tight group and I'm proud that we won."
