Bigbank TARTU claim sensational home triumph in #CLVolleyM debut

Rookies Bigbank TARTU celebrated a rather surprising 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-22, 25-20) in their home matchup with Swiss club Lindaren Volley AMRISWIL to start their maiden CEV Champions League Volley campaign with a bang.
The hosts delivered a truly smooth performance and their setter Aleksander Eerma looked in full control of the game. Estonia’s reigning national champions were better in almost all aspects of the match, e.g. blocks 8 vs 3, aces 6 vs 2, reception 43% vs 53% and attacks 45% vs 37%. Youngster Albert Hurt was the top scorer with 16 points while the experienced Martti Juhkami added 15. Opposite Milija Mrdak registered 13 points for the Swiss club. The rematch will be taking place on September 22 in Switzerland.

However, we had bad moments in all sets as well and there is definitely room for improvement. We played as a team and this is why we were successful today.”
