Perugia led the game in the second set and the Block Devils were unbreakable in defense with Rychlicki scoring six points.

It was a closely fought third set between Perugia and Trento. Rychlicki scored nine points while Michieletto scored ten. Trento ruled the third set also thanks to their winning blocks (five points scored).

The fourth sets were the kind of set that everybody loves to see in volleyball. Leon led his team to win the set scoring 12 points and four aces. The last Ace of Leon takes the team to a tie break (30-28).

TRENTINO made the difference in the tie break and a mistake in Plotnytskyi’s service closes the last set (12-15) which meant that Trento has won the match with 2:3 in sets.

The MVP is Alessandro Michieletto scoring 26 points, 1 ace and 51 % attack. Michieletto has already won 117 points for the club this Champions League season, ranking him sixth on the best scorer list.

"Tonight’s match has been played between two top teams which are on the same level. We played on thin ice, point by point. The match has been amazing and they have searched and found ways to make immediate points. Now we need to go and win in Trento. It will be even harder but we have what it takes to do it."

Libero of Sir Sicoma Monini PERUGIA

"We lost the match and we suffer the blow, but I think we have gained an important point, which leaves all unsetteled and that we tought to have lost for a second. They have played extremly well it it had been hard to hold their play in some cases. Next week we need to hunt for the victory in Trento."
