Gas Sales Daiko PIACENZA with a clear win over Halkbank ANKARA

Wednesday evening brought on new volleyball excitement. Two formidable teams, each armed with skill, strategy, and determination, collided on the court, promising an evening of exhilarating volleyball action. In the match between Turkish Halkbank ANKARA and Italian Gas Sales Daiko PIACENZA, it was Piacenza who took a 0-3 win (19-25, 23-25, 19-25).
The first set went completely on the Italian side, whereas Halkbank didn't lead at all and was always a few points behind. Piacenza, with powerful serves and impeccable defense, managed to keep up the score at all times and closed the first set by 19-25.
In the second set, the Italian domination continued. They managed to get to the five-point lead (15-10) but then a Turkish 0-5 series took place and they managed to even the score to 15-15 and went to 17-15. In the end, that wasn't enough and Italians took another set, this one by 23-25.
Halkbank lost their rhythm in the third set and the Italians got to 1-5 and 4-9. They managed to close another set by 19-25 and take the important 0-3 win.
The MVP was Simon Aties with 11 points, four kill blocks and two aces. Piacenza is now first in Pool C with 12 points, BR Volleys are second with 10 points, Halkbank is third with eight and Benfica is last with no points.
