Overview

VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN still record breaking. The club from Lake Constance is the only team in CEV Volleyball Champions League taking part in the competition since the very beginning.

It’s the first Champions League game ever at Ratiopharm Arena Ulm/Neu-Ulm. Since the club had to leave ZF Arena because of construction defects and after playing one year in an exhibition hall, the club had to move 100 kilometers to find a new volleyball home.

The spectators will meet familiar faces. ROESELARE’s middle blocker Arno van de Velde used to play for FRIEDRICHSHAFEN during season 2020/21.

The home team will start into the game with a broad chest after making it to the Cup semis a week ago against their bogey team SWD powervolleys Düren. ROESEALARE lost their cup game and suffered another defeat against Greenyard Maaseik in the Belgium league.

Dejan Vincic is back on the court. After receiving an injury two weeks ago the captain and vice European champion received the green light from the medical department to play.
