Kévin Le Roux successfully passed his medical check at the BERLIN Recycling Volleys on Monday. The French international has a CEV license already, which makes him eligible to play for the BR Volleys against ACH Volley LJUBLJANA in their #CLVolleyM season opener later today. Le Roux will wear jersey number 2 for the ten-time German national champions.

Le Roux drove more than 1000 kilometres in his private car at the weekend in order to join the BR Volleys team as quickly as possible. “I had a lot to transport and in the current situation I did not want to take any unnecessary risk of infection,” said the middle blocker, explaining his long road trip from Nantes to the German capital. The 31-year-old arrived in Berlin on Sunday and directly underwent a coronavirus test. On Monday, the medical check followed by BERLIN’s team doctor Oliver Miltner, who gave the French the green light. With this, all pieces have fallen into place.

Kévin Le Roux has been a French national player for many years, has appeared for his national team more than 200 times and qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games in the Max-Schmeling-Halle this past January. He obviously very much hopes to be among the players representing ‘Les Bleus’ at the postponed Tokyo Olympics in the summer of 2021.
