Leo Shoes Modena played with a pressure of result. Even if the game started with point-by-point race, from 11-11 Roeselare built a four-point-advantage with great performance of Mathijs Desmet. It was a stimulus for the hosts to fight back what they actually did tying at 18-18, but then the Belgians run away with the score for good winning the opener. Also the second part didn't start well for Modena as they were chasing the score from the beginning, once Roeselare were ruthlessly using every weakness of their opponent enlarging the gap even to six points in the middle of the set. The hosts tried to shorten the distance, but they were not able to stop the Belgians. With no margin for error Modena opened the third set better, they were staying one or two points ahead, but neither side was able to gain a bigger advantage. The decisive part was a passionate battle, Desmet played at his finest, but spike from Tuerlinckx closed the match.
