Grupa Azoty Chemik POLICE start on the right foot
This was the first encounter between the teams in their clubs’ history. The game was attended by more than 2,000 fans, cheering for their favourites from Chemik, who in the previous season reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
To the delight of the home crowds, the hosts didn’t disappoint, claiming a rather easy 3-0 win, being better on all counts (44 winning spikes to 26 by their opponents; as many as 13 blocks to only two; and 3 aces to 0).
Agnieszka Kąkolewska was named as MVP, with 10 points and 80% efficiency in attack.
