· With the win over MONTPELLIER HSC VB VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN made it to the next round of CEV Champions League Volley for the first time since 2018.
· After leading 9:2 in the second set, Marin Dukic came in on the French side, turned tables and led his team to a 25:22 win. Thanks to his aggressive serving, MONTPELLIER made an impressive come back and won the set.
· The young MONTPELLIER’s player Piele Halagahu came off the bench to help the team in the 4th set.
· Ziga Stern had to leave the court in fifth set because of a knee injury, the young German Tim Peter came in and replaced the Slovenian veteran nearly flawless.
· The match was a very close game, played to a five set tie breaker
· Ziga Stern was the MVP of the match
