The CEV Champions League Volley 2022 – Women returns today with the first leg ties of the last preliminary round, the last hurdle teams will have to face before reaching the much coveted Round 4 of the competition.

Only four teams remain in the race for the two spots that will offer access among the elite European clubs in Round 4, with ZOK UB (SRB) facing Olympiacos Piraeus (GRE) and Viteos Neuchatel UC (SUI) facing SC Prometey Dnipro (UKR).

Olympiacos will again rely on their attacking trio, Mariana Costa (56 pts), Wilma Salas Rosell (54 pts) and Saskia Hippe (50 pts) who are currently occupying the podium in the scorers’ rankings, to push the team through to a good result away from home and a qualification next week when returning to Greece.

In the second encounter, Neuchatel’s Tiata Scambray and Dnipro’s Kateryna Dudnyk are the leading scorers of their teams, and currently on identical points tally and set average (36 pts/4.5).

The away matches of the Round 3 are scheduled to take place next week, 4th October.
