CEV Champions League Volley 2022 | Women
This was the first home CEV Champions League match for Mladost in a very long time after last year they had to forfeit their fixture due to a COVID-19 outbreak. Moreover, it was the first official match with Mladost for youngster Aurora Papac – a player born in 2005. After a long time, there were some spectators – about 100 – at the sports hall Dom odbojke Bojan Stranić.
Klara Peric“CV GRAN CANARIA started the match much better than we did – they were well-prepared, especially from a tactical standpoint. Even though we struggled at some point, I can only say that we gave our maximum. Many thanks to our opponent for playing such a good match.”
Leonard Baric“I am happy with this victory against a very good team from Spain and I think my girls played with all their heart. I am sure the people who came here tonight enjoyed watching such a good match.”
Victoria Foucher“Of course, I am disappointed with the Golden Set but proud because we won the re-match 3-1 against such a good team. Congratulations to Mladost but also to my teammates because we fought bravely until the end.”
