Ann Kalandadze, the People’s Most Valuable Player

Over one hundred thirty thousand votes were cast in the “Most Valuable Player” polls opened after the conclusion of the CEV Champions League Volley 2023 Women Pool Phase. Ann Kalandadze, the 24 year old Georgian playing for Developres Rzeszow received almost twenty five thousand of those votes to be crowned the MVP of the Pool Phase.

Ann massively contributed to her team reaching the playoff in the Champions League, through her prowess in attack as well as her defensive performances, finishing behind Imoco Conegliano in Pool A.

In just a few days, her focus and that of her teammates will be all on their playoff matches against the French from Volero Le Cannet, whose Opposite Vita Akimova finished second in the MVP pool, following outstanding performances as well.
