The players coached by Stefano Lavarini took complete control over what was happening on the court in the first, and delivering the outstanding 70% exc. in attack opened in their favour. On the other side of the net, SC Potsdam were suffering in reception, finishing with only 8% exc. in this element in this set.

The guests started off a bit better in the second set, breathing down their opponents’ necks until 11-11. After this, the Fenerbahce team could find the proper Volleyball answers and 16 winning spikes and three kill blocks (to 13 and one, respectively) got closer to the victory.

Excellent on the blocking in the third set (six points), the Turkish congratulated themselves with yet another victory in Pool C.

Fenerbahce’s setter Bojana Drca was chosen for MVP of the game, while her teammate Arina Fedorovtseva finished as top scorer (15pts.).

“The girls did a very good job this evening. They showed great focus, great approach to the game. We are happy, we keep leading in our pool, and this is something important. I want to take the moment to remember a friend who passed away today - Allianz MTV Stuttgart former coach, Tore Aleksandersen. Condolences to the family!”

The host team did not lose time in gaining back control, and with more precision, took the third set, while the French attacking was suffering (27%  exc. in attack).

“We played well in some aspects, and not so well in others. For example, we lost rhythm in the second set, which was a bit of a mirror of what happened with Casalmaggiore. Today, however, the girls played well. Congratulations to Vittoria (Prandi), who delivered a great contribution. Today, the goal was to bring home the victory, which is fundamental if we want to reach the top of the Pool - something that would be worth a direct access to the quarter-finals."

Marco Gaspari
Coach of Allianz Vero Volley Milano

“Fourth victory in the #CLVolleyW. I am very happy with this result. Of course, winning in three sets would have been the cherry on the top of the cake. Now, we absolutely have to grit our teeth because another match awaits us on Sunday and then finally some space to breathe. Full speed ahead to keep our concentration high."

Vittoria Prandi
Player of Allianz Vero Volley Milano

“I think it’s clear that Milano is one of the best teams in the competition now. It’s always though playing against them, but we played a great level, especially in the second set. We pushed in serve, and we have some good plays in attack”.

Silke Van Avermaet
Player of Volley Mulhouse Alsace

“Two excellent sets, both the first and second, against a very strong team. We had prepared solutions both tactically and technically, asking our girls to be courageous. The girls did it: I'm really proud of both them and the work of the staff. However, it couldn't have been better than this."
