Powerhouses learn their fate in the Drawing of Lots for the CEV Champions League Women 2025

The Drawing of Lots for the CEV Champions League Women 2025 took place on Tuesday, 16 July, in Luxembourg, with the participating teams learning their fate in the competition.

15 teams were already seeded, while the last five ones in Cup 4 are still to be known, as the winners of the 3rd round of the European premium competition - due to take place in September in five doubleheaders - will also make it into the 4th round and complete the pool composition.

The 20 teams were divided into five pools of four teams each, with the most balanced one looking to be Pool C, where the runners-up from the last season, Vero Volley Milano are due to face six-time winners VakifBank Istanbul, as well as Slovenian champions Calcit Kamnik and the winner between FC Porto and CV Gran Canaria.

Vero Volley Milano and VakifBank Istanbul have also met in the fourth round of the competition last season, when the two sides traded away wins, as Vero Volley finished first in the group thanks to their larger number of points.

Reigning champions A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano have been drawn into Pool A, where they face Polish side DevelopRes Rzeszów, Bulgarian champions Maritsa Plovdiv and the winner between ZOK Gacko RD Swisslion and Mladost Zagreb.

Perennial contenders Eczacıbaşı Dynavit Istanbul have been drawn in Group B, alongside French champions Levallois Paris Saint Cloud, German side SSC Palmberg Schwerin and the winner between Asterix Avo Beveren and Tent Obrenovac.

Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul will be leading Pool D, where they face Hungarian champions, Vasas Obuda, the winner between OK Herceg Novi and Grot Budowlani Łódź, plus French debutants Neptunes de Nantes.

In pool E, Italian powerhouse Savino Del Bene Scandicci are due to face BKS Bostik ZGO Bielsko-Biała, Allianz MTV Stuttgart and the winner between Rabotnicki Skopje and C.S.O. Voluntari 2005.

The five pool winners will progress directly to the quarter-finals, while the second-placed sides in each pool, plus the best third-placed team overall will progress to the play-offs.

The quarter-finals winners will progress to the FINAL Four, where two semi-finals are due to be played, with the winners of the two semi-finals progressing to the big final, where the title is decided.
