“I would like to congratulate both teams. Resovia played a good game. This was a crucial match for the first place in the group. We were prepared, we served good.We have young players, and players with more experience. We lost in Modena in the Italian championship, and it was important to come here and demonstrate we are one of the best teams in Europe.”

Marco Podrascanin
Player of TRENTINO Itas

“We knew we were playing against a great team. We were playing the highest Volleyball in the world. But I believe that we can play this level. Just today we missed a few things, a few details. And Trentino played really, really well. They put a lot of pressure on us. We were also tired from the game we just played two days ago. We regret because we could have played better. Maybe if we had won the second set… You never know what could have happened after.''

The setter of Gas Sales Daiko Piacenza - Antoine Brizard, was chosen for MVP of the game.

“It is great. We started pretty bad with the first game in CLVolleyM, then we did well in Benfica. Today, we had to take the 3 pts. We knew it was going to be tough, they are experienced, but we did well.”

Antoine Brizard
Player of Gas Sales Daiko Piacenza

"It was a difficult match, as we expected. Berlin plays good volleyball, but I must say that we approached the game in the best way possible. We played the first and second sets, finding the right inspiration at the end of each set. In the third one, we dropped a little too much, but in the fourth we had the right reaction, and I'm really happy with how the team improved set after set."

Andrea Anastasi
Head coach of Gas Sales Daiko Piacenza

"A very positive debut for me. We won a difficult match against an excellent team. It was important to bring home this victory, and now the focus is on next Sunday in the domestic championship."

Yuri Romanò
Player of Gas Sales Daiko Piacenza

"Three sets we were really competitive. At the end of the fourth set it was very tough. We had a really difficult start at 2-7, but we worked our way into the match. I think we did many things well, but our Achilles heel today was our serve. Nevertheless, we fought like lions. Piacenza was in rhythm, played at home and was slightly better than us. We're disappointed, of course, but we still have to look on the positive thing and prepare well for the next three games."
