Overview
In the second fixture of the #CLVolleyW Pool A at the PalaRiadoli the 19-time German champions SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN face the reigning runners-up of the Polish league, currently undefeated in the national competition - Developres SkyRes RZESZÓW. The team from SCHWERIN have a long history in the European Cups, while it's only the second #CLVolleyW campaign for RZESZÓW, who made their debut in the 2017/18 season.

SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN prevail over Developres SkyRes RZESZÓW
The game between the 19-time German champions SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN and the Polish reigning champions Developres SkyRes RZESZÓW had a competitive start, however the team from SCHWERIN managed to build-up six-point lead at 19-13. Developres fought back, with birthday girl Jelena Blagojević on serve they started to catch up the score. Although, it was SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN having a set point, Developres managed to save it and took a lead 25-24, then the set point was denied by coach Felix Koslowski, who called challenged. Eventually, team from RZESZÓW closed this part using the second opportunity. Next one, started better for SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN again, who enjoyed the lead through the entire set winning it 25-18. The team from SCHWERIN kept the momentum and played almost flawless in the third part - committing only one unforced error. They also took control of the scoreboard in the fourth set leading 21-13. Developres shorted the distance, scoring four points in a row, but it was not enough.
- Gréta Szakmary (SCHWERIN) was the best scorer of the match. She tallied 20 points with stunning stats - 4 blocks, 3 aces and 70% of positive receptions.

In the first set we really pushed them and in this part we showed that we are a good team, but then SCHWERIN played amazing Volleyball - defence, block and counterattack. We are happy because we are here and we have an opportunity to play against good teams. Tomorrow is a new day, and after tomorrow another one and then the second tournament. We will try to enjoy and try to show our best game."
