Two top ranked teams - undefeated VakifBank Istanbul and the second in the table ŁKS Commercecon Łódź opened the second tournament of the Pool C. Both teams entered the court very motivated. After a very close start, ŁKS Commercecon Łódź took a 6-4 lead, but shortly with Michelle Bartsch-Hackley on serve VakifBank Istanbul scored five points in a row, thus they not only caught up, but stepped up front at 9-6. Through the rest of the set, the Turkish powerhouse led by Isabelle Haak stayed ahead, the hosts showed a few solid actions, but VakifBank safely closed the set. Despite the final score, the second set was much more competitive. The first part didn't discourage the hosts who started it racing into a three-point lead at 9-6, but they didn't enjoy it too long as VakifBank bridged the gap to tie at 13-13, since then the game was continued as a thrilling point-by-point battle. In the decisive part, the star-studded Giovanni Guidetti's squad disillusioned the hosts grabbing another set. Turkish powerhouse was fully motivated to close the game in the third set, staying fully focused from a very beginning. They took an early lead 8-4 that they improved to 16-11 and 23-15 winning the set and the match to stay unbeaten as the leader of the Pool C.
