Martin Esteban Blanco Costa, coach of Hebar: “Before anything else, congratulations to Olympiacos, as they are an incredible team, they are very strong. I wish them luck in the future. It was a tough game. We did not start very well, but afterwards we improved our service and reception, and I think we were good at every element. In the second set, we were more aggressive and the key was that we fixed our problems in blocking. I am happy that we continue our journey in this competition.”

Todor Aleksiev, player of Hebar PAZARDZHIK: “I feel great about my return to Greece. It was not easy to play here, but I am very happy with the victory. We continue our journey in the pool stage of the Champions League and this is very important for my team as well as for myself. We played well in general, not very well in the first set, but in the second, we were better in reception and we served better. These were the key factors that gave us the victory.”

Konstantinos Stivachtis, player of Olympiacos: “We definitely tried to impose our rhythm from the first set. We did not succeed and I think the way we lost the second set was a little disappointing because it was the slightest difference. Our goal was to reach the pool stage but our journey in Europe will continue. We need to close this game and see only our mistakes. We temporarily leave behind the European competitions and return to the domestic ones where we have to fight to secure our qualification in the League Cup. This game may help us in view of what is coming up with PAOK.”

Dimitrios Kazazis, head coach of Olympiacos: “I think we made a very good effort. At the crucial points, however, the opponents showed that they wanted it more and they deserve to reach the next phase. They were very determined - and the result is fair. We keep both the positives and the negatives and we will try to correct them in our next obligations so that we can be better. We will continue our season in the CEV Cup, the Greek cup and the Greek Championship. We still have a long way to go. Our psychology is definitely not at its best after three consecutive defeats. From here and beyond, however, we are Olympiacos and we have to manage this situation and bring out a better team.”
