    Last Sunday, A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano set a new world record of consecutive wins for women's volleyball with 74 matches won.

    The last match lost by A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano is dated back to December 12, 2019 in Perugia in Italian championship.

    After one season of "closed doors" the fans come back to Palaverde for the Champions League. In the last season played with all open doors with 100% capacity (2018/19), A.Carraro Imoco Volley had an average of 4,400 spectators per game.

    A.Carraro Imoco Volley-Zok UB is an unprecedented challenge. For the first time, the Italian team and the Serbian team face each other in a European Cup.

    A.Carraro Imoco Volley is missing the central player Sarah Fahr, who has a right knee injury and is recovering. She will be back in 2022, but Bulgarian blocker Hristina Vuchkova is giving her best to replace Fahr.

     

    "The run to the world record was hard. We suffered in the last five domestic league games, three times we won after a the tie break. Let's say that now we have "taken off a weight from our chests" and from now on, we can focus exclusively on improving our game because this year we have new players and in this beginning of season we had many injuries. We start the Champions League at home, it will be exciting to play in front of our fantastic fans after so many months behind closed doors."

    The Panthers with a rather easy win in their #CLVolleyW opener

    The new world record holder for "most consecutive victories of a women's volleyball team” started in an excellent manner in the 2022 #CLVolleyW after outclassing in three sets the team of ZOK UB. It was the first time when the two teams met on the court.
    The Panthers started with GIorgia Frosini instead of Paola Egonu, marking the debut in the CEV Champions League for the young opposite, who scored 16 points during the match. Both Frosini and Omoruyi (who eventually became MVP of the match) were in Conegliano's starting six, and have won the World Championship in the past summer with Italy's U20 national team.
    The hosts did not leave any chances to their opponents in neither of the sets, but recording 10 points in a row with Hristina Vuchkova on the serve impressed more than 1600 fans attending the game in Palaverde Villorba.
    Overall, the Panthers dominated on all counts, finishing with 46 winning spikes (27 by their opponents) and 47% team efficiency in the match.
