- On Wednesday 30 November (at 8.30 pm), Knack ROESELARE will receive the Italian team Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA in their own familiar Tomabelhal.
- Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA tops Pool C of the CEV Champions League Volley 2023 after two victories (3-2 at home against Sport LISBOA e Benfica and 1-3 away against TOURS VB).
- Last matchday Knack ROESELARE recovered from the blow at home against TOURS VB (0-3 defeat) with an away victory against Sport LISBOA e Benfica (2-3).
- After six matches, Knack ROESELARE are still the only undefeated team in the Belgian Lotto Volley League. Last Saturday, they won against Tectum ACHEL with a 3-0 victory.
- Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA had a difficult start in Serie A but stunted last Sunday evening with a 2-3 victory against Volley PIACENZA.
- In the past seven years, both teams played seven Champions League matches against each other. Knack ROESELARE only won one of them, the home-match in the 2015-2016 season (3-1 victory). The eighth match, the away-match in the quarter finals in season 2019-2020, was cancelled because of the covid-19 epidemic.
- Setter Stijn D'Hulst has played for Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA for two seasons. Together with that Italian topper he won the Italian Championship, the CEV Champions League and the FIVB Club World Championship in 2019 and the Italian Cup in 2020 before returning to Knack ROESELARE.
Stijn D'Hulst“The Italian team has changed with a lot of younger players in particular. Of course, it remains a strong team but sometimes they have ups and downs. And we should be able to take advantage of that to go for that first set victory. On the other hand, we will have to reach our strongest level and rise above ourselves. However, we already proved that we can do this at European level. Then everything is still possible in the battle for the qualification to the next round as second classified.”

Luciano De Cecco“We are going to face a very experienced and strong team, able to perform an unconventional volleyball. This means that we are expecting from a very delicate match in Belgium, and we must be on top physical and mental shape, otherwise against Roeselare it can become a very complicated match. On the other side, we trust very much in our skills, and all of us want to achieve the final first position in Pool C, our goal is to come back at home from this game whit our third win in the competition”
