Overview
Developres SkyRes RZESZÓW and Unet e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO suffered defeats on the opening day of the Pool A tournament in Scandicci. Developres, who compete in the #CLVolleyW only for a second time are currently undefeated team in the national league and are eager to show their best also on the international stage. On the other side, Unet e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO were hit by numerous of injuries this season and after being only a step from victory yesterday - as they lost with Scandicci after a nail-biting tie-break - they should be even more motivated to end this day with positive result.

Unet e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO clinch the stunning five-setter
In the second game of the day at PalaRiadoli in Scandicci Developres SkyRes RZESZÓW and Unet e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO fought hard for their first victory in the #CLVolleyW Pool A. Eventually, the team from BUSTO ARSIZIO won a thrilling five-setter.
Developres SkyRes RZESZÓW and Unet e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO were both very motivated to banish memories from their Tuesday's defeats. The Italian team started the game better, they broke away with three points a row already at 8-5 and with almost flawless game accompanied by successful spikes from Camilla Minagardi and Alexa Gray they enlarged the advantage further. Also in the next part the team from BUSTO ARSIZIO enjoyed the lead, however Developres were constantly chasing the score, reducing the gap to one point at 21-20, but it was not enough to stop Unet e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO. Improving own game and using the opportunities, RZESZÓW took a solid 16-11 lead for the first time in this game in the third part. They kept the score safe and a winning serve from Gabriela Polańska gave them a set. A tight point-by-point race started the next part and again it was the team led by Stephane Antiga to build a three-point advantage in the middle of the set. Despite fierce fight they withstood pressure and tie-break was needed to determine winner. Tie-break was a breath-taking battle won with the second match point by Unet e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO.
- Brilliant performance and well-deserved MVP award for Camilla Mingardi. She tallied 27 points of which 26 came from winning spikes. In addition she enjoyed 57% of positive receptions.
- Great game also for Aleksandra Rasinska who wasn't in the starting line-up. She contributed scored 24 points.
- The only aces for BUSTO ARSIZIO (2) came in tie-break and were served by Jovana Stevanovic.
- The decisive tie-break lasted 26 minutes.
