Kolodruma is the biggest multifunctional complex in Plovdiv, famous with modern architecture and impressive atmosphere. The hall is unique not only being the only covered Olympic-sized cycling track in the Balkans, but also for being able to host 22 sports at the highest level. Kolodruma has also a hall for warm up trainings, press center, locker rooms, coach rooms, LED screens, underground and grand parking for 438 cars. VakifBank ISTANBUL prevailing over VC Maritza PLOVDIV
Turkish powerhouse VakifBank ISTANBUL finish the event in Plovdiv with perfect record of three wins and nine points and first place at the halfway through the 4th Round, however they dropped one set against the VC Maritza PLOVDIV on Thursday's night. The hosts finished the tournament winless.
The last game of the Pool C tournament in Plovdiv had a clear favourite. Four-time #CLVolleyW champions VakifBank ISTANBUL fully fulfilled this role in the first two sets. However, the third one looked completely different and we witnessed a tight point-by-point game. Maritza raised to the occasion and led by their setter Petya Barakova and outside hitter Miroslava Paskova who scored 10 points, the hosts won this part. Losing their first set in tournament was like a cold shower for Giovanni Guidetti's squad which returned on the court more focused controlling the game till the last whistle.
• Curiously, the setter was Maritza's best scorer of the first set. Captain Petya Barakova scored in both attacks she attempted and added one kill block to her tally.
• First set was the quickest in Plovdiv and lasted only 16 minutes.
• Setter of VakifBank Maja Ognjenovic was named MVP, she served 2 aces and scored one point from attack.
• Top scorer of the match was Isabelle Haak (VakifBank), Swedish star tallied 21 points.
• Miroslava Paskova, who returned to Maritza's squad after missing last season due to injury, was their best scorer with 16 points.
• This was the third game between VakifBank and Maritza in the Champions League. The two teams met twice in the pool stage of the 2018-2019 edition and the Turkish powerhouse won both of them in straight sets.

Of course, there were a number of world-class players on the other side of the net, but even in those cases you should give more than 100% on the court. In the third set, we managed to pull out all the emotional energy we had left after yesterday's exhausting five-setter and show that we can fight as equals even with teams like VakifBank."

Giovanni Guidetti"I congratulate Zhana Todorova, the libero of Maritza Plovdiv, who in my opinion is one of the best in the world. And I really like Miroslava Paskova a lot, because she is a great player. She really knows how to play volleyball and does the maximum to her full potential setting a great example for all young players. OK, the first two sets were too easy and I wanted to give a little space to everybody, so our focus went down a little, but then we recovered like we have to."
