Day 2 of the tournament in Amriswil, Switzerland delivered a game between two top-seeded teams of Pool H and was expected to be crucial in quest for a ticket to next round. Dinamo Moscow after winning over the home team Lindaren Volley AMRISWIL got a chance to grab a ticket, but they were not even close to this feat. The Italian powerhouse Trentino Itas controlled the game from a very beginning earning convincing and important win in only 67 minutes. Nimir ABDEL-AZIZ  was a strongest weapon of Trentino Itas and received a well-deserved MVP title, as he tallied as many as 22 points to his name and recorded 68% of efficiency in attack. Dinamo Moscow’s best scorer was Romanas SHKULYAVICHUS, who collected 12 points.

We knew Dinamo Moscow is one of the best teams right know, and we were not in the best positions after four losses in the Italian league. This win was good start for us and we hope this will make a change in the next matches for the whole season.”

Sam Deero, Dinamo Moscow: “We had chances in every part of the game, but Trentino were very strong, they have some individual talents which is amazing. Also we were not playing in the highest gym so for top Volleyball it was difficult today. Because if you get a save by 130 km/h the only way is it to lift it up and here you touch the roof, that wasn’t so pleasant for us. But I still have to give them credit that they played very well today. If they play also on this level in the Italian league they will be one of the top teams.”
