The Italian Powerhouse of TRENTINO Itas opened their campaign in the second tournament of Round 4 in #CLVolleyM with a straight-sets victory over the Russian giant of Lokomotiv NOVOSIBIRSK. The players around head coach Angelo Lorenzetti, dominated completely the action on the field, and led by top scorer Nimir Abdel-Aziz closed the match in their favour for only 75 minutes. In comparison to the 3-2 victory in December, on Tuesday TRENTINO could count on their setters and could organise better their game. Lokomotiv, on the other hand, were not able to find their rhythm.

• Both teams started good in the match, showing some equal skill on attack.TRENTINO Itas, however, could open in their favour. The Russian side were suffering from some unforced errors and despite better performance on block, could not take the best out of the situation.
• TRENTINO, led by Nimir Abdel-Aziz, started better on the serve in the second set, making it difficult for Lokomotiv’s reception. Despite that Lokomotiv NOVOSIBIRSK were keeping the pace on attack, they were struggling to find better concentration.
• In the third set, the players coached by Plamen Konstantinov, seemed to have lost their fighiting spirit, and the Italian Powerhouse managed to take full control of the action on the field, outclassing their opponents in all the components.
• TRENTINO finished the match with 8 blocks, 7 aces and 54% efficiency in attack, being the better play on serve the key to the success.
• Nimir Abdel-Aziz from TRENTINO Itas recorded 17 points and became MVP of the game. For Lokomotiv, Drazen Luburic scored 13 times, while Marko Ivovic contributed with 10 points.
On Wednesday, the Italian team lock horns with CEZ Karlovarsko, whom they’ve already outclassed in the first tournament in December.
