    1. It’s VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN’s first game after COVID-19 quarantine was lifted on Wednesday and after they played their last official game on December 19th.
    2. The jerseys on the other side of the net should look very familiar to JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel’s setter Benjamin Toniutti. The French Olympic Champion used to win the German championship with FRIEDRICHSHAFEN back in 2015. One of his former team mates still works for the Germans. Thilo Späth-Westerholt is FRIEDRICHSHAFEN’s CEO today.
    3. Mark Lebedew plays against the team he calls “some kind of home”. The Australian used to coach JASTREBSKI twice – once as assistant and once as head coach. He lives with his family close to the Polish city. The game will be his 500th as a professional coach.
    4. While JASTREBSKI didn’t lose one set in the first two games of Pool A, FRIEDRICHSHAFEN struggled a lot losing two games in a row.
    5. On Tuesday German Bundesliga stopped the normal round because of so many postponed games. FRIEDRICHSHAFEN will continue playing on January 22nd for the intermediate round.

Actually my team will be motivated after such a long time without one game and after more than one week in quarantine. Maybe this will influence the game. But we know that JASTRZEBSKI did a great job this season and they have a team with great players."

    - After one week of quarantine VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN started without setter Dejan Vincic, spiker Vojin Cacic and libero Blair Bann into the game.
